Derwent Valley Community Radio.The mission of TYGA-FM is to provide a community-based, non-commercial radio service for the people living in the areas covered by the station's signal; to entertain and enrich the lives of our listeners by presenting the significant and diverse in the fields of music, the arts, and ideas in an appealing, professional way to encourage new insights about life, people, and relationships in a changing world.
TYGA FM began transmitting on Monday, 14 December 2009, at 10:00 am. The station is located at the New Norfolk High School's Science & Language Centre in a purpose-built facility. TYGA FM aims to provide a community radio service to residents of the Derwent Valley and Southern Central Highlands. The station now provides a wide variety of different programs hosted by a variety of presenters and broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
