The slogan of this station is "Lapho Sikhona Kunokukhanya" which means "Wherever we are there is Light". So as can be seen from its name and slogan they mostly target Ndebele speaking people.
Ikwekwezi FM radio station (formerly known as Radio Ndebele) was founded in 1983. Management team consisted of Whites only, but the goal of this radio station was to promote Ndebele language, so they broadcasted mostly in Ndebele.
