Radio Fawaka is an internet radio station from New York City, NY, United States, providing Music, News, Information and Talks for Surinamese communities.

Radio Fawaka! is the initiative of a Surinamese living in New York who is aware that only a few compatriots are present here in this cold country. They have to create heat themselves.

fawaka! will strive to become a real forum for Surinamese, not only in New York but all over the world.

Since it is not yet possible for us to buy airtime from a local radio station, we have decided to meet the need to some extent in this way. That there is a need is apparent from the growing number of “listeners” and visitors to Radio Fawaka!.

Without your input, Fawaka! are nothing but a few pointless webpages on the immense Internet. That certainly doesn't have to be the case. We hope to let our real Sranang shine every now and then for every Surinamese anywhere in the world.

Long live the technology!! (Even though we don't get it)
